Dear Farah, Louis, Miranda, Mark,
thanks so much for agreeing to a smaller font size. Email should be perfectly adequate for continuing this process. The only aspect of the design that we're discussing at this point is the body text, everything else is 100% wonderful.
Thank you also for being transparent about budgetary limits. It's so important to set these limits, and to respect them, we should try to set out an itinerary of next steps so that we can make sure not to exceed the remaining resources available.
So far as I can tell, and correct me if I am wrong, the next steps for the printed book are:
1. approve new body text font
2. receive a full proof of the book
3. finalize ink and paper selection
4. printing budget is finalized
5. we get back to you with a proof-read copy
6. proofs are integrated into the design
7. we double-check the updated proof and submit any last revisions
8. book is printed!
Does this seem like an adequate preview of the remaining stages? Are we able to do this within the budget?
Also Farah, comparing my travel plans with your vacation dates, it might make sense for us to have a quick chat about when we might cross paths, or how we can do the ink and paper work remotely, since I am not sure that my travel schedule intersects with your vacation schedule in a way that will allow us to meet. Give me a call to see what could work if you have time?
warmly and sincerely,
Josh
