Dear Mariane,
It was so lovely staying with you and having more time together. I’m so glad that we have an over-a-decade friendship!!I hope you and the Captain are keeping well, and I’ll do my best to be online for your defense (although the time difference could be a bit of a deterrent).

I wanted to send you an update about the publication.
IT’S PRINTED!!!!!!!
I actually can’t believe it myself. Wow. 
Lauren and I are putting together a few launches, and one (possibly the first one) will be in Vancouver at the Libby.
We are looking at June 5 (Thursday). Fingers crossed that that will work for you as well.
Let us know / book it in your calendar. 
We’ll follow up with promotional material and hope that you’ll share it in your network. We’ll have a lot to celebrate!

Dera Josh,

Congratulations on finalizing the book! I'm excited to see it in print and am equally excited for the Vancouver launch. It's in my calendar. Captain and I would be happy for you to stay with us again. A 10+ year friendship is special and I welcome any chance to cultivate ours.

Don't worry if you can't make it to my defence... I will send you a copy of the final text.

It went great! Passed without revisions and my thesis is being nominated for an award. I can’t believe I did it! It hasn’t sunk in yet. I am relieved, exhausted, extatic…
