invitation to blurb The Employee

Josh Schwebel <privatejosh@gmail.com> To: Nizan Shaked < ██████████████████████ > Cc: Lauren Wetmore <████████████████████████████████ >

dear Nizan,
The typical "I hope you are well" greeting feels unnecessarily trite given the rapid-onset hyper-fascism of late. But, I do nonetheless hope that within your life you are finding ways to cope.
I'm reaching out to you as the publication "The Employee" is on the brink of being printed.
My co-editor Lauren Wetmore and I were thinking of inviting you to write a brief blurb on the publication that we could use in our press release, and would be truly honoured if you would consent. Is that something you would be interested in?
I'm attaching a pdf of a recent but imperfect proof with the expectation that this will not be shared or circulated, but is offered to you alone to read.
Ideally your response to the book would be no longer than 300 words (we will excerpt from this), and would need to be ready by the end of the month when we expect to have the printed copy in hand. Please let us know if this feels manageable.
my warmest greetings,
Josh

Dear Josh,
Yes, sigh… about the times and appropriate salutations.
Yes, sure, I’d be happy to blurb, I’ll get it to you by April 1. Did you have any luck with a Europen distributor at the end? Best wishes (under the circumstances…), Nizan

Dear Nizan,

Jumping in quickly to say how grateful I am that you are willing to blurb the book! It’s very meaningful.
