updates, sort of

I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying your summer.

I am just writing to send an update about the status of my project, and to thank you again for the very stimulating conversation about the project earlier this year.

After launching and circulating the call for applicants, we received about 16 responses. Of those, we interviewed 4 qualified candidates, and then had a second interview with the top 2 choices. Ultimately, and very disappointingly, neither of those candidates accepted the job offer. ███ ███ ██████ ████████ ███████ ████████ █ ████████ ██ ██████████ ███ ███ ███ ██████████ ████ ██ █████ ████ █ ████████ ██ ████████ ████ ███ █████ ████

I am now quasi-head hunting for the position, writing to professionals across Southern Ontario arts orgs to try to find someone with motivation to contribute to the artist-run sector, and the writing skills and experience to contribute to the grant-writing needs of the centre.

Hopefully we find someone soon.

Anyways, that's why you haven't heard from me -- this can't exactly figure as progress in the realization of the project, it's at more or less of a standstill until we find someone, but I thought you might want to know, nonetheless.

I have also been in contact with Michael Miranda, who will be coming on board as an editor of the publication.
