Hi everyone,

I hope your weeks are off to a good start.

Here are the files for the Asher Foundation.

Here is the file for the print tests.

For the print test, you’ll need to print at 100%. Usually the "scale to fit" option is enabled by default. So when you’re in the printing window, you have to change it to "Scale : 100%" (it's gonna be at 107% by default I think) – screenshot attached if that’s at all helpful.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions.

All the best + more soon,

mark

Hello dear House9ers,
I hope you are having a good week so far.

So Lauren and I printed out the print tests, and we both find the font size of the body text too lorge. By far. The headers are great, everything else is great. It’s just the text body (essay text 13pt bold), that isn’t sitting right.
We are both committed to this publication being most importantly, a collection of essays to be read, and this font size and scale do not support the reading experience. Some of the essays contributed are over 30 pages in length, and so it also feels unnecessary to increase the overall size of the volume by bumping up the font size.
I also think that if we make the typeface smaller and the text more condensed, we might end up with more dynamic spreads where there is just text on the page.
So. I am sorry to ask for additional changes, but I think that the body text needs to be in a non-bold font of maximum 11pt.
I know that this will change the overall look of the design, but I hope that we can find a solution that not only feels like a compromise, but an improvement.
And you know that I love you guys and love working with you, and would rather make your days easier than more annoying, but I know that we’ll find a layout solution that we all love through the combined brilliance of our collaboration.
Hugs,
Josh
