Context

More than ever, it is time to deepen our collective understanding of the many challenges experienced throughout the country, to help shape an accurate and up-to-date picture of the current state of the sector nationally, and to draw an evidence-based portrait that can be used by all of us to ensure sustainable support for the arts in Canada.

Building a robust portrait of Canada’s arts sector
In her latest Letter to the community Council’s Director and CEO, Michelle Chawla wrote that “My engagements over the past year have also provided the Council with invaluable discipline- and region-specific information that is helping us in our planning and decision-making. What we need to do now to complement all of these pieces is build an even more robust portrait of the current state of the sector across Canada. To this end, the Council will be launching a survey in the next few days and I encourage you to fill it out.”

The Canadian research firm Context Research Group (CRG) will administer the survey.

The Council has retained the services of CRG, a trusted Canadian-owned and operated research firm, to administer the survey.

  • The survey is expected to take around 20 minutes.

  • It is important to note this questionnaire is assigned to you and can only be completed once per organization, individual or group. Do not share this link unique to you.

  • Please note: some contacts may receive more than one survey link if they received funding under more than one applicant type. We kindly request that you respond to the questionnaire in each of the survey links.
