Here are my first round of notes. It looks like a lot but it is mostly line edits. The book is looking really great - it was a pleasure to read it all in one go!
My notes in yellow are directly to H9. (But maybe check them, at least in your essays, to make sure you agree)
The notes in green are directly to you, to be resolved before we hand this back to H9
The purple notes are from H9 to us, I have replied within those notes with my initials.
One overarching question: do you think that the document titles need to be zhuzhed?
In related business:
- Are you still planning on coming to Montreal? It would be great to do paper all together with Farah. We can definitely do it at the Momus event on Dec 6th, if you two can make some allowances for me being a bit distracted. But, if we want to really talk it through, best to make a dedicated time.
- About the email archive: I’ve been thinking about making more explicit reference to it in the book, and I think that we should absolutely amend the blurb to make mention of it, but I’m not sure about going future than that. One of the things I love conceptually and aesthetically about the email archive it is that it is a block of (relatively) unmediated information. Pointing to aspects of it in the book and creating direct links in the book could amount to an editorialisation that would mess with this. Somehow it feels important there is no guide to how to enter the email archive - no short cut or abbreviation. Does that make sense?
