Key Points Dev:
When the error is not in the first email in the chain, it doesn’t show up in the outside view. You have to check each one. So even if the error is in the 5th email of a chain, to see it in the first view, that would be amazing (Max says he can do this)
If it can show the ones that haven’t been marked as done, that would be great (Max says he can do this)
It would be really nice, within the work view, you can go email to email, but if you go back out, you go back out to the main page. It would be good if you could just go back out to Page 13 if you’ve been working on Page 13. (Max says he can make a button for this)
Attachment images: The data of the images are not currently saved in the database (I only saved their filename and filetype) BUT the data is in the Takeout files, so it is super simple to add that to the database. Long story short, we're good, we have the images
Key Points Design
Josh is unsure about the fade out of names in desktop view (but the rest is great!)
Josh wonders about the amount of breathing room in desktop compared to mobile (mobile feels better)
Dev Discussion:
Max: When looking at missing emails, pretty much everything is in the take-out. But there was a bug when it came to attachments. Let’s say there’s an image; in the takeout, it’s coded weirdly and needs a reference. I know how to fix this. But I want to verify something with you… If something has a broken image or not.
Max: Okay, I see this picture/attachment (<facade.jpg>. In the other emails, it is weird code. I know how to fix this.
Max: “add it to the pile…” email doesn’t have an attachment.
Max: I noticed some issues where you’ve been trying to redact… Sometimes this is styling, there’s nothing to fix. For others, you need to clear it first.
Josh: Yes, I’ve figured this out too.
Max: Anything that says it’s an error on the website, and you know it is fixed, just switch it back to say that it isn’t an error.

Jordon: I agree about these features. I thought the same thing.

Visual Design review
Jordon: The desktop views are totally done, unless you see any flags.
Jordon walked through hover view, the date range (Josh said, “Wow!”)
Jordon: Do you have a preference on black/white for sender/recipient
Josh: no, but I’m unsure about the fade out of names.
Jordon: I think this was a choice that Farah did in case there were too many names
Josh: I just find the fade-out to be a bit jarring, because that’s not how email inboxes work, but the rest is great!
Josh: I would love to see the thumbnails…
Josh: Images are more important… Attachments don’t really matter… But an image preview would be great if that’s possible.
Max: I will have to throw this back to design… Maybe if it’s a PDF, just a general design… If it’s an image…
Josh: But you don’t need me to find the images again?
Max: No.
Max: So only thumbnails, you can’t download.
Josh: Correct.
Josh: in-line images should be the size that they come in; attachments should the size of the attachment
Max: Before we do the design, I’ll do some tests when I’m back from vacation.
Josh: If you can’t, I imagine we’ll make a category?
Jordon: If an email had formatting, this is how we thinking it would show up (i.e., email from CCA)
Josh likes the crossed-out boxes for date ranges when there are no emails
Sender list can be made longer in the design
Josh: I like the mobile format even more than desktop
Josh: I think I like the mobile version because there’s more white space.
Josh: Everything is good. I’m just trying to figure out why the desktop is more confusing than the mobile. I think having the text all the way to the edges might feel overwhelming. I’m wondering about a frame/space around the edges, so the text doesn’t go right to the edge of the screen. I think what’s different is just the space it takes up visually.
Jordon: But in mobile it does go right to the edge as well.
Josh: You’re right. Maybe it’s just the smaller white space floating in the black of the Zoom screen.
Josh: I know I have this list of people I haven’t confirmed consent with. It feels like a weird thing to be emailing people.
