Dear Farah, 

We’ve done it! (Almost.)

I’m super happy to be sending you this link to the content for The Employee - images, texts, and a map explaining how we have thought about the order and format of things.

You will see that a few texts are in still in copy edits (there are final draft placeholders) and some of the images are still waiting on permissions (again, there are placeholder images). 

Despite those few missing pieces, I think that this package is in a really good place for you and your team to start getting familiar with the content towards proposing a design. I remember Louis saying that he takes a few weeks to understand the book and work out a design logic - so I am hoping that this package can allow him to start that process.

I am taking two weeks off, starting tomorrow, so perhaps we can plan a design meeting all together in late April? I’ll be checking emails on and off too.

Because we have multiple overlapping imminent deadlines the next little while, it is going to take us a moment to return to the content of The Employee. 


We’re thinking it might be more realistic to reconvene/meet in about a month from now (circa mid-May). Hopefully this will also give you a bit more breathing room on copyediting. 


Are there timelines/dates solidifying concerning launch?

I just wanted to not leave this email hanging, realizing that Lauren is taking a break to gather her writing threads, I am following up.
Mid-May is fine. 
We do not yet have a firm date for the launch since we didn’t want to anticipate your production schedule needs.
Why don’t we discuss what this date might be in our coming meeting?
If you want to propose a date, I imagine that we can lock that in and have something to work towards.
