Dear Josh,

This essay is a triumph. It encompasses everything that we have hoped for – even back when we were hoping for it from █████████ - and you have taken it so much farther. A huge congratulations for the enormous work you undertook to make this one of the strongest contributions to the book.

I’ve just completed my line-edit (apologies for the delay), but I have no further structural or overarching conceptual notes. I think that it can go straight to Jessica after you have gone through my edits.

As for ███ █████████ - I will wait until we have the final version of the text and attach it to an email about how we have decided to move forward. I’m not worried about that.

I feel so amazed and proud that this text will been our book.

Hi lauren,

Phew! I am so glad. I feel a great relief to have it in this form, and am quite excited by how it developed. I got such a kick out of the Carl Andre priapus quote, and I thought it would make you laugh!

Thank you so so so much for your encouragement, support, and continued belief that it would come together.

I also so appreciate your edits, they are really beautifully effective in streamlining what I mean to say. I could absolutely not have written this without you.

I’ll accept the edits in the next few days, and send it back to you shortly.

hi Lauren,

Big exhale. I have accepted your comments and suggestions, and reworked or added in a couple of places that came to light through your reading. I have marked these additional passages in blue.

If, upon reviewing these, you have modifications, we can do a very quick round of suggestions, etc. after which, I am ready to send it to Jessica!!

Thanks so much for steering this ship with me. It feels like a huge accomplishment for us both.

Also, it has led me to question my placement on the cover of the book... should we maybe reverse the design so that my name is on the back cover, and the contributors are on the front?
