Question Healthy Communities Initiative

The Employee <employee@forestcitygallery.com> To: CFC: Healthy Communities Initiative <chci@communityfoundations.ca>

Hello there,

I had a question regarding the application for the Healthy Communities Initiative (due June 25, 2021).
In the section about the project information, there is an option to attach project documents (such as project proposal, design drawings, consultation documentation, letters of support, certificate of insurance, site photos).
Would you say it is advised to include any or all of these project documents? Would the application questions be enough to gain an understanding of the proposed project, or would it be encouraged to include additional materials? Should I include a detailed project proposal, and if so how long should that proposal be?

Please let me know if you have any advice concerning this and how best to proceed.

Thank you very much!

Best,

Camille-Zoé Valcourt-Synnott (she/her) — Fundraiser/Grantwriter

Hi Camille Valcourt-Synnott,

Applicants who receive funding will be required to submit proof of these documents prior to funds being distributed.

Depending on your project, you will be required to submit proof of necessary permits, permissions or approvals before receiving funding. Examples include an outdoor patio application and lease agreement, council approval, certificate of insurance, etc.

Please inquire with your local or regional authorities to determine which permits, permissions, or approvals you may require. Receiving funding approval is a separate process to that of receiving any local permits, permissions or approvals.

Examples:
  • Safe and vibrant spaces: See Smiths Falls Patio Permits (click here)
  • Improved mobility: See City of Peterborough Street Closure Application (click here)
  • Digital solutions: See Community Food Centres of Canada Privacy Policy (click here)

I encourage you to explore the Applicant Guide and our website for more resources.

I hope you find this information helpful. Feel free to contact if you have further questions and we will be happy to assist you.

Warm regards,
