updates and scheduling

dear Matt,
hey, I hope you're not drowning in work, and that you're still healthy!
I'm just writing to update you and also to request some information.
Updates:
Monday is the deadline for applications for the position. You can find these in the shared project folder, under "applications"
So far there are 10 applicants, and 2 seems quite strong.
I would like to set a meeting towards the end of next week to review these and decide on who we would like to interview. I think we should each choose our top 4 to discuss, out of which we will interview 3 candidates.
Information request:
I spoke yesterday with Teresa about orienting the work of the employee to best suit the needs of FCG. We both agreed that the employee should prioritize grant-writing over other fundraising activities or priviate sponsorships.
She reinforced for me the importance of increasing HR at the gallery, and told me that you had just been denied a grant from CCA to try to also increase the gallery's HR.
Do you have any documentation of this? For instance, do you have any assessment docs from the CCA, or any notes from conversations with grant officers?
It would be great documentation to have on hand to demonstrate the context for the project.

So far, that's it. Really looking forward to comparing candidates,
warmly,
Josh

Hey Josh,

That's all great news, looking forward to interviewing the candidates as well! As for the documentation, I just have the original CCA grant that we applied with, and the letter confirming our funding (but not at the asked amount). I think the conversations were held over the phone as to why we didn't get the money requested. Does any of this help?

Also sorry I've been MIA, I've had an emergency come up and I'm just starting to get back into things.

Warmly,

Josh Schwebel <privatejosh@gmail.com>

Hey Matt,
Thanks for the update. Sorry you’re dealing with stuff, I hope it’s not too serious.
I might just ask my employee to follow up with the CCA officer in that case, to gather more material, but we can talk about it some time in the future.
See you Monday!
