Hey,

Glad to hear you’re adjusting to the quiet, although I am sure that has all changed several times over since you emailed.

I want to apologize for not responding before. It’s been a hectic time, with lots of roiling and churning, but not much forward momentum. The usual.

On the books, please do let me know what you’re doing there. As for distribution, that’s always been an issue. I think Jonathan Middleton from Information Office (https://i-o.cc/) (and he’s also at Art Met) has been working towards setting up as a distributor. In the worst case situation, Art Metropole could act as a distributor of sorts. No one else is really doing distribution, though. Mainly, it gets done through Amazon (depending on how you are printing, this can be done via ingram, which is the biggest book distributor and has a print-on-demand printing service attached to it.

Michael

Hi Michael,
Thanks for getting back to me. I know what you mean about roiling and churning. There’s a lot of that here too.
But, as you might have seen from the other email I circulated, I started a new project (in spite of massive Internal resistances).
The publication will be connected to the hiring of an additional employee for Forest City Gallery for the forthcoming year. The project is just getting started, so I am far ahead of having any actual object, but eventually it will be an archive of the work. I wasn’t planning it to be print on demand, but it’s good to think about that option...
I will try to see if Jonathan might want to do distribution, but he probably has his hands full. But I will ask.
Sending love to you and Jessica, and hope to see you when human contact is no longer so overwhelming.
x
Josh
