Dear Ana,
I sent an email earlier to the public account, but didn't receive a reply, so I am trying to reach you here as well.
I am writing because I understand Micah Lexier made contact with you about potentially publishing the book documentation of a project I am working on: “The Employee”. I would be very glad if YYZ would be interested in publishing the documentation / book I am planning to follow this project!
The performance of the project is in progress, and is slated to conclude mid-September 2021.
The book will comprise documentation of the work of fundraising and grantwriting for the Forest City Gallery, enacted by a grantwriter/performer, Camille-Zoë Valcourt-Synnott, paid for by my CCA artist’s grant. I am engaged in gathering documentation of this work, and also have invited a select group of colleagues to either compose essays or engage in conversations with me about the project. The book will assemble these primary documents along with more theoretical / political reflections on the project.
I am seeking a publisher for this book, and according to Micah, YYZ is interested in working with me. I would be very happy if this works out.
